Hot and Spicy Tofu Marinade

My friend Sarah sent me this recipe a long time ago and I use it all the time. My husband loves spicy stir fries, so this is the most popular stir fry sauce at our house. It works anytime you want to add flavour to your tofu and love a little spice too. Tofu is a great source of protein. It is made by fermenting soy beans and pressing the curds together.

There is a lot of misinformation about tofu, but it is part of a healthy diet. There is no evidence based, reason to avoid tofu.
Phytoestrogens in tofu help prevent breast cancer, reduce symptoms of menopause and,  contrary to popular belief, protect against prostate cancer.

Tofu is an excellent source of calcium and protein. It can also help to prevent heart disease and cancer. Don’t believe the misinformation about tofu. Societies that eat the most tofu are among the healthiest and longest living.Shayla Says
Ingredients:

1 package extra firm, organic tofu

8 tbsp Bragg’s seasoning (soy sauce replacement)
4 tbsp Vegetarian Hoisin Sauce
2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
2 tbsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp Peanut oil
2 tsp hot chili paste (Sambal Oelek)

Directions:

Cut tofu into cubes. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and add diced tofu to marinate. Stir often until all tofu is saturated. Enjoy as is, bake, or add to stir fry just before all vegetables are cooked.

If you are baking tofu, cut into triangles instead of cubes. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, turning tofu often.
