Tahini Sauce

Ridiculously easy to make. Fast and adds a great flavour to bowls, vegetables and Middle Eastern dishes. 

You can use Tahini sauce on falafels, veggie burgers, as a sandwich spread or as a veggie dip. Use your imagination!

Tahini is made from toasted, ground sesame seeds. Sesame seeds can lower cholesterol and are heart healthy. They are packed with iron and calcium.Shayla Says
Ingredients:

1/3 cup (80 ml) tahini
1-3 garlic cloves minced 
Juice from one lemon (2-14 Tbsp)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 – 4 tablespoons warm water
Pinch cumin, optional
Pinch cayenne, optional
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, optional

Directions:

In a large measuring cup, bowl or food processor combine ingredients except parsley. Mix until smooth. Add more water if necessary. Add parsley and blend until smooth or desired consistency.
